Hello everyone,
My name is Michelle, i have moderate CP with Epilepsy. I'm 19 and going to be moving out on my own in September. I was woundering if anyone has any suggestions to help me in my move to indepentent living. I'm happy for this move but also very scared.

You didn't mention if your seizures are under control. If they aren't, you may want to get to know (and hopefully trust) a neighbor. If you ever need him/her to help you during a seizure, or to let emergency workers inside, it would be good to be acquainted with someone you can trust. are not under control, I would make sure you have
somebody close to you , in case you need help.

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you....I've been real busy. I think, since your seizures aren't under control, you really should consider having someone you can check in with. If your sister isn't always available, or if you don't have a neighbor to call if you need help, you may want to invest in one of those services that give you a buzzer to press if you are having problems, or feel a seizure coming on. Help can be dispatched right away, and you will probably feel much safer. Good luck, Kathy
