Post depression

Well, Im a little down today. Missing my job and feeling like i cant contribute to the world or my family.

It got me started thinking today that it seems like I have read many posts here from people that also have severe depression. I have been dealing with depression for most of my life and have been on many many meds for it. I finally did find a good med for it which is effexor. Its kind of ironic because one of the side effects is that it can cause seizures in people that are prone to them. haha. But it works great for the depression.

Anyway, I just wanted to see how many people here do have a severe form of depression. Maybe there is some link.

I was diagnosed about 2 months ago... and my depression is kinda bad... and it's just been a short time. I think mine has to do with the "rules" you have to go by having epilepsy. I just went from 100 mg a day to 200 mg of lamictal. Even at that small amt it threw me for a loop yesterday. I was so agitated at everyone... and felt terrible. Just wish I could find a good dose and get use to it and I WANNA DRIVE!!!!!! lol My kids couldn't be in cheerleading and football this year because of ME. Yes you are so correct... it is very depressing.
