Question monthly seizures

I hope someone may have exeperienced the same thing. My 12 year old son has been having seizures since he was 4 months old, but for the last 5 months he's been having a seizure every month on the 21st of the month. I thought it might have something to do with his hormones as he is going through puberty. Has anyone ever heard of this before. I'd appreciate any input. Thanks

Hello and Welcome. There is thread abt this same thing on . I do not have children so I cannot answer, but others have noticed their son's seizures increase at Puberty. I can understand that, but the same time each month escapes me unless something is happening each month at that time that is triggering it. Any extra stress at that time? I know males have a level of estrogen, but I do not know if it is cyclical like a female's is or not. It could be. Estrogen does lower the seizure threshold. I wonder what effect Testosterone has on seizures. food for thought. Sorry I can't be more help. Hopefully others here can offer more insight. Tattoo
