How is Beth doing now. You had written earlier about changing her diet and adding adult vitamins - noticed any difference? Also, I've just read of another young girl to die of ep. at 18. Didn't you post many months ago about a young cheerleader at your school that also died suddenly. Do you know if she was medicated and also what type of seizures she had. I'm very worried about SUDEP. Right now my daughter has only simple partials and she is not medicated due to a severe reaction to the carbatrol they initially put her on. My family has very severe reactions to most meds so very fearful of trying that route again. Changed her diet and she is now seizure free, except once a month, then has clusters of simples (about 16 a day). She is only 8. Trying to make a tough decision on whether to try Keppra. Docs really don't want to believe you when you tell them strange reactions to drugs run in a family - they just think you're strange. Then they give you the drug (she couldn't walk upright) and still don't believe the med could cause that reaction. She was fine before it and got better in 8 hours after taking her off. But, I don't want to let anything happen to her since she is not medicated and still having seizures. Any help is greatly appreciated.
