Question Pressure in head

Hi everyone, my sister was diagnosed with epilepsy a few months ago and just recently changed medicine, don't know the new one. She has had a pressure feeling in her head lately and is kind of worried about it. Everything about this is new to her and me. Does anyone else experience this? Thanks for your input!

Dutchymom,

Has your sister had tests done, such as an EEG or an MRI?

I always get a pressure in my head right before I get a siezure. I also smell an off smell as well. Kind of a burnt soapy smell. Strange but true. My dr said this is rather common.

Karla is correct about that pressure however it could also be a sinus cold (if it's continuous) I have the burnt popcorn smell and pressure before my seizure. I think it's part of an aura I get.. but again we are all different either way go to the doctor to releive your mind of anything.. if it's an infection they can treat it if it's something else they can let you know and how to treat it.

I'm not sure if this is what you want, but I to get the pressure. Sometimes its before a seizure sometimes I experience it alone. The ONLY relief I get when the pressure is really bad is a nose bleed. The nose bleed is usually a really good one, but I won't complain because the pressure goes away.

Not to much help for you, but atleast you know your sister isn't the only one.
