Hi. I am 31 years old, 12 weeks pregnant and had my first seizure (grand mal) a week and a half ago. The CAT scan and the EEG came back normal. I FINALLY have an appointment with a Neurologist tomorrow afternoon. I am scared and completely frustrated. I am hearing that I won't be able to drive for 6 months or more... and they probably won't be able to tell me WHY, WHEN or IF I may have this problem again. HELP! Does anyone have any words of enlightenment for me or know of any good websites?
ALSO.... I sometimes get these clear distinct feelings of "de ja vous" really as if I have already dreamed what is happening presently. My heart tends to beat real hard and I feel sick to my stomache. It usually only lasts 30 seconds or so. Could it be related to seizure activity? It tends to happen more often when I am under stress. ANY THOUGHTS???? Please reply!!!!

Yes, those things you mentioned are seizure related. In fact, they are simple partial seizures. My daughter has very similar episodes. Good luck, my prayers are with you.

Just wanted to wish you the best of luck at your doc appt. this afternoon. Take your time and ask all the questions you want..don't let the doc rush you out of the office.
