Does anyone know anything about progresterone and epilepsy - Epilepsy Message Board

Hi everyone. I finally got the courage to make my first post. I have noticed that while on the shot(depro provera), I experienced less seizure activity. I was wondering if there was a connection between progresterone and epilepsy or if anyone has had a similar experience.

hi there,
i have been trying to figure out the link between epilepsy and hormones for a while now. i don't know much but i do know that progesterone is actually an anti-epileptic, so it follows that you would be experiencing less seizures.

My daughter used to suffer continuous seizures while she was menstruating. She is now on Lucrin (mini-depo) because of her age. The seizures and periods have both stopped and the change in her is amazing.
