"E" and FOOD POSIONING????? - Epilepsy Message Board

OUR 8 YR. HAS "e." WE JUST FOUND OUT LAST WEEK.
NO FAMILY HISTORY OF SEIZURES, NO HEAD TRAUMA, NO HIGH FEVERS, ETC.
HE WAS SERIOUSLY ILL WITH FOOD POISIONING AT THE AGE OF 2 YRS. OLD. HOSPITALIZED FOR 7 DAYS. DIAGNOSED WITH SAMENELLA POSIONING. DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THIS ILLNESS COULD BE ASSOCIATED WITH ELPILSEY?????
HE WILL SEE THE DR TOMORROW AND I DIDN'T WANT TO SOUND DUMB BY ASKING THIS QUESTION. HELP!!

Food poisoning and E. Maybe there might be something there. there are way to many people that have E and all of them couldn't be head trama. Maybe an enviromental cause seem very plausable. Keep us posted.

Did he have a high fever? because that can bring on epilepsy.

hi peddy's nanner,
my name is jessie i am now 22 but i was diagnosed with epilepsy when i was 15. just out of the blue for no reason whatsoever i had a grand mal seizure i have no family history of seizures at all i have never hit my head and i never had a high fever as a child or at any point in my life i have no explanation at all for my epilepsy. it is really frustrating not to have an explanation for something that is wrong but with epilepsy thats just kinda how it is sometimes i hope this helps you a little just to know that some people have this for no known reason im thinking of you guys take care jessie
