Hi all. Sorry to just kinda jump in though I haven't posted in here before. I have a question about my sister... here's a little background to help out with my question...

My sister, "Amber" will be 21 years of age next month, lives in an apartment with her husband and attending school currently. She doesn't do street drugs, drink or anything like that. She takes 20 mg of Prozac (antidepressant) and Orth TriCyclen (birth control pill) each day. When I drove over and visited the other day she mentioned what sounded like a possible seizure but I'm not sure. She had been having sinus symptoms all day and before bed took a Benadryl tablet. She says for two hours straight her muscles were basically all just clenching up and she was unable to control it. She had something called Klonodine(?sp?) which has previously been discontinued and took one of those and says that stopped what was going on.

What I'm wondering is if this sounds to anyone like a possible drug reaction seizure?

I've read through some of the other posts here in this forum and all I can say is you all sound like an awesome and wonderful support group of people for each other. My best wishes to all of you.

The way we all joined this board is just the way you did....we just kind of jumped in. It's a good place to jump into. Hopefully you'll get the information and support you need.

I really couldn't say whether your sisters episode sounds like a seizure, but I'd really encourage her to see a Doctor. If she does have a seizure disorder, certain drugs, or drug combinations can cause seizures in some people. I know I couldn't take prozac....and can't take any cold medicine. I hope your sister will agree to go see a Doctor. She is very lucky to have such a caring and concerned sister. Good luck! Kathy
