Lamictal side effects - Epilepsy Message Board

I have been taking Lamictal for a while now and the only side effect that has been bothering me is swollen lymph nodes, has anyone else had this problem? I have been reading about Lamictal side effects and one site that I found today said that you should stop taking it immediately if you get a rash or swollen lymph nodes but other sites just list it as a common side effect. The area that is the most swollen is on the sides of my neck - it's been a few weeks now but i'm starting to wonder if I'm going to look like a football player forever! Any ideas or is it something that I even need to worry about?

Hi,
I don't think I've ever heard about that problem, but it sounds serious, and may not have anything to do with Lamictal. I'd get my butt to a Doctor if I was you!!!! Please at least call your Doc. Let us know what happens please! Kathy

I had the swollen lymph nodes at first too.... and my throat was always sore (like a constant strep throat) but the side effect went away within 1-2 weeks .... i'd see your doctor at anyrate .... better safe then sorry.
