i have a son that had a seizure about a year and a half ago doc perscribed tegertol he took that for a little while he was acting angery so we switched him to trileptal he took 300mg in the morn and 300 in evening for about 1 year he did not have and seizures sence the first one so the doc and i thoght he would be ok to try and take him off but we were only had 3 days left he was taking 150 mg at night but yesterday morning he happened to be sleeping with me and i heard a weird noise so i woke up and seen him shaking a little and makeing a gurgling noise. the first one he had he was with his grandma so i had no idea what one looks like it scared me half to death. i want to know as much information about this as i can like since he had two seizers is it consedered epelepsie or is it still seizers and i am not 100% sure how to treat him when he had one hopefull i can get help thanks

I just wanted to make sure you got some information. the best thing I can suggest is to call his doctor tomorrow morning. (((((()

I agree with Robinrobin. You really need to talk to a Doctor. Sometimes when someone has another seizure all that is needed is a medication change. I hope you find the answers. Good luck, Kathy

I would have to agree with the others. Please call your son's neuro. It sounds like he has had another one.

You don't mention his age or if he was ill when he had his first seizure.

Normally, it's considered Epiplepsy when a person has 2 or more unexplained seizures. A child who seizes only while running a fever, may only be classes with a seizure disorder and not Epiplepsy.

thanks i called his doc on monday told me to up meds and he has an apt on thursday i will ask her some questions, so far he seems to be ok i hope i dont have to see him do that again it was very scary, dillon is seven. he had one seizer about year and half he was not sick at that time and he isnt sick now
