I am in now taking these medications for Epilepsy – called Keppra & Lamictal I have been gaining weight.
I would like to find have if the weight gain is possibly because of the Keppra or some thing else. I can say in that I have not gained this amount of weight before.
From my personal experience, Tegretol made me slowly gain weight, and when I started on Keppra in addition, it made me lose all the weight I'd gained. I'm not sure if it works the same was for everyone, though.
I've been on Lamictal for 15 years or so, and have not gained weight. Did anyone ever take (or still take) Felbatol? I lost 30+ pounds in about 9 months, became anemic, and lots of other problems started. Needless to say, I was taken off. I was told it was taken off the market?
