| | Seizures miss-diagnosed for 20 years
For 20 years my seizures have been gradually changing, when they started they were only in my sleep, then I started having Tonic-Clonic Seizures. After awhile of having those I started having Simple Partial Seizures which were miss-diagnosed as Petit-mal Seizures for 20 years, these Simple Partial Seizures would turn into Secondary Generalized Tonic-Clonic Seizures. This went on for 17 years or so then I started having Complex Partial Seizures as well, these are very bad with me I walk around, not knowing where I am or what I'm doing, I have seriously injured myself with these seizures. It has been just recently that I have found out that I was miss-diagnosed, all this time they have been telling me I have been having a different type of seizure and they could never figure out why medication wouldn't work for me, it's because of the type of seizures I have, temperal lobe seizures. But now I can't find a doctor to see me, Anyone have any suggestions, I live in Grande Prairie Alberta where there is no medical doctors taking new patients, I have been trying for 6 months now to find one to send me to a new specialist.
