Just home from hospital- don't ever sz on CT table :)
I've been dealing with severe headaches for a couple of months now (like daily, no relief sorts- not the occasional migraine- which are horrible, or other severe headache), and finally couldn't take it, so doc's office sent me to ER.
OK. So I'm there and get sent for a CT- reasonable....then I seized when I was coming out of the machine, and again at some point- so 4 1/2 days later, I'm home again. Lots of seizures there (stress, bad sleep, pain), including nocturnal ones with incontinence (horrifiying- at least at home, the dog isn't going to care). I'm guessing 13-15 seizures in 4 1/2 days. I"d have the hit by a truck feeling, and more headaches.
They did get a neurologist to see me (on Medicaid that's been a luxury I haven't had), who reviewed my meds, did increase the Tegretol, and add some doxepin to help with the sensation/perception of the body to pain (fine with me- doesn't have to be fancy). Next week, due to disability, I'll be on Medicare (more than 20 years before I should), so will have that, a 'supplement' more like regular insurance, and a drug plan, with generics being free, and brand being 30/month. It's like I'm almost human again.
I'm afraid to sleep without "incontinence reinforcements" until all of this settles down, which is half stupid, but I was pretty horrified.
It'll be good to be in my own bed.
