| Re: is it dangerous if im having a seizure everyday now???
I"ve always lived alone with the seizures. I just make sure I can get to a chair, my bed, or even the floor if I have to. I don't cook if I"m feeling weird, and no baths- only showers. When I feel the aura, I try to get to my as needed meds- if I can't I just get somewhere safe. And if there's time, to the bathroom before it starts. Then I just sleep it off. Not much else I can do. If I have several in a row without really snapping back to 'normal', I go to the hospital, but that's rare, and only if there have been several back to back with no real recovery time.
Get a medical alert necklace or bracelet (I prefer the necklace so nobody sees it- but EMTs and paramedics are likely to find it) for whenever you leave the house. I hate them, but it also has info on checking my wallet for my meds and other medical conditions.
It can be scary, but it's also somewhat easier for me, knowing that at home, nobody else sees me having seizures- I don't like that sense of vulnerability or the logistics of getting home if I'm with someone- I don't get combative, but extremely tired, and if I fall asleep, it's almost coma-like.
You can make adjustments at home to be there alone. Let your doc know that your spouse is going back to work and you'll be alone, just so he/she knows...((((((hugs))))))
