| advice regarding seizures
Hi,
I have a question I was hoping I could just get some advice on. I had two grand-mal seizures this year (first time). Both were when I did not get sleep hardly at all. Both times when I was laying awake, I could hear weird intensified noises for most of the night. Now I take Xanax to help me sleep. What I wanted an opinion on is.
A. If for some chance I was to get a seizure, do you think that if I took Xanax to help me fall asleep, could it be that I would still get one but didn't happen to get the "sound aura" I get because the Xanax knocked me out basically or
B. do you think that it's the issue of not getting sleep that is causing the seizures itself.
The second one I called into work and got a couple hours of sleep in the morning (of course by that time, I already had the noises going on at night) so I don't know if it's the "not getting sleep" thats causing the noises and seizure or if i was going to get one anyway and it just happened to keep me up.
I hope this makes sense. I've just been so stressed lately and sometimes feel kind of weird and edgy so I guess I just wanted an opinion on this. My neighbor who is a Doctor's assistant says sometimes they give people Xanax in the hospital if they get a seizure so I'm more worried of what will happen if someday I can't get the Xanax anymore (so far Doctor's have been ok with it but you know how they get). Thank you!!!!!!!!
