sleep deprived eeg - XL spikes?

My son had a sleep deprived eeg today and there were a lot of XL Spikes on it. He is not seeing the neuro until Aug 24 - can anyone tell me if that is indicative of epilepsy or not? He is 11 and having some kind of attacks or seizures.

Thanks
Ramona
