Hormones definitely affect seizures in different ways for different women.

With me, my normal monthly fluctuation of hormone levels causes my seizures, and I take birth control to control my hormone levels. The birth control pill helps control my seizures better than just taking anti-seizure meds does.

But I've heard of other women whose seizures are triggered by the change in hormone levels that birth control pills cause.
