Vibrations or tremors inside my head while sleeping, anyone??

Hello ~!!! New here. But husband had seizures all his life so I have quite a bit of experience.

However, I told my MS neuro (who isn't sure i have MS) that I get these tremors that wake me UP only when I lay down or were already sleeping.
I ONLY get it when I am laying down and mostly after falling asleep.

I have had 2 positive EEG's, for probable absence seizures. I take no meds but anti-seizure meds for pain.

I also get these "episodes" where I can feel an aura or a sudden feeling as if I will lose consciousness. BUt I dont. I can HEAR but not usually respond or move my body. I am very weak, my bp and HR usually skyrocket.

Any ideas? Partials?

ANy help is appreciated thanks

Jan

Re: Vibrations or tremors inside my head while sleeping, anyone??

Has that neuro mentioned anything to the concept of these "episodes" being nocturnal seizures?

Basicly the definition of those are seizures that frequently occur when a patient (person) is sleeping. Some people have them strictly when sleeping. Other epileptics will have them (nocturnals) along with daytime seizures varing in degrees.

This type of epilepsy is not that frequent.

I have a friend who has nocturnals. They tend to be worst when he is first dozing off, and just before waking up. All other parts of sleep they tend to be dorment.

If he is starting to fall asleep in front of the computer (or does) he tends to go into a seizure for a few seconds then comes out of it.

Hope that helps give you something to look into.

Re: Vibrations or tremors inside my head while sleeping, anyone??

I hope you get an answer because I have the same symptoms you're describing & haven't been able to find out anything about it. I wake with the feeling my head is vibrating & once I get awake (so far) it goes away.
I also have times I feel like I'm slipping away into a fantasy memory (don't know how to describe it) I still know who I am & what is going on around me but have to fight my way back to reality. They're both very scarey. Good luck in finding answers.

Tripp gets those when he is falling asleep and just before he wakes up. He has them too, during the day. He will turn his head to the left for under 10 seconds....then he is fine.
Nothing he takes helps them!
