Epilepsy

My daughter has just been diagnosed with partial epilepsy; she has recently had a MRI scan and spots shown up on the scan - What does this mean?

Re: Epilepsy

Roughly how many, where (if the Dr explained) and what was the estimated size.

As for what it could mean... there are a handfull of potentials. It could be as harmless as calcium deposits if they were small spots for one potential. Not knowing any background or visually seeing the scan I am at a loss.

A secondary is areas that suffered from lack of oxygen during seizures (MULTIPLE!). A friend's MRI showed those on the frontal regions (both L and R), like specks, roughly 2mm in size. Thats the only other one I can compare to from visually seeing a scan.

Thats what comes to my brain for the time being.
