question about the timing of dosages

I know how important it is to get your rest when you have a seizure disorder, and thankfully, I haven't had any seizures lately, but I haven't been getting nearly enough sleep lately since starting the Topamax. This is really unusual for me as I love my sleep. I feel as though I am on speed with this medicine but that's a good thing as I am channeling it in a very positive way.

The problem is...I'm going to bed at 10 pm and waking up between 2:30 and 4:30 am and that's it until 10 pm again. I literally go non-stop. Since I am currently not driving, my plans for today are to paint another one of the rooms in my house, lol. I am on overdrive here and loving it, but to tell you the truth, the days are very long this way.

I take medication twice a day, morning and night. My question is this...would changing the timing of my evening dosage from 10 pm to say...dinnertime maybe help me sleep better at night? I don't know how this medication gets absorbed, but I certainly would probably feel more rested with a better night's sleep. I'd hate to risk a seizure due to fatigue. Does anyone know?

Re: question about the timing of dosages

Nevermind... I just wasn't sure it was ok to adjust the time on my own and if I had done so, I was concerned that I wasn't going to be covered adequately during the night. I guess I'll just ask the dr. at my appt. this week.
