Hi everyone i'm new to this website and need answers ..I was in a different epilepsy group but had'nt posted any messages in awhile..Anyhow almost 4 yrs.ago this april 10th of 04 i had seizure surgery ..The doctors found scar tissue in the temperal lobe they went in and took that out, now they had told me dont be alarmed if i had a seizure or 2 afterwards


They said it was normal well i had a seizure probably 2 days after the surgery i thought well thats normal..I was released 3 days later and had felt real good for about 2 days then my seizures started to return like they were before the surgery 2-3 a day ..I finally got in contact w/ my neuroligist then we got in touch w/ my seurgen , he thought maybe another test would be best , so he put the electrodes on my brain and found more scar tissue in the partial lobe , well they all thought another surgery would best, i asked what the percentage rate for a full recovery was and it was about 65 to 70% ..I've heard that partial lobe surgery is more riskier than temporal lobe , My doctors told me that the piece of scar tissue is so small its like trying to find a needle in a haystack , if they would'nt be able to find and pinpoint that area they would have to take that small area out

Any of you have partial lobe epilepsy and have had surgery to get rid of your seizures?
