The early things to do for any newly diagnosed person would be some to all of these.
Make an appointment with a neurologist if you haven't already. See if they want to do testing (ask if it is needed) MRI, EEG.
Thats the starting gate.
See what comes out of the tests. (first turn in the run)
From that point the doctor can do any possible options, all depending on results. If the brief EEG failed to show anything you may have to later down ask for a long term EEG (24-72 hour observation/recording).
See if medication is recommended or not.
