Lamictal & Depakote Question

My husband's Neurologist has just added Depakote ER to be taken along with Lamictal. My husband has taken Depakote previously with Tegretol, however, this was not a good combination for him. He also, takes Namenda & Razadyne ER for dementia.
Does anyone here have experience with Lamicatal/Depakote combination?
