I have a 5 y/o son that had his first seizure when he was about 5 months old then he didn't have another one until he was 2. Now he has been having about 4 to 6 seizures a year ever since and all have occured during sleep. He has never come out of one with out taking diastat after 5 minutes of seizure activity. He does take oral anti-convulsive medication 2x aday but it seems like his system is starting to get immune to the medication since the seizure are happening more frequently. Basically I am just looking for as much information as possible about this condition and if there is a positive outlook for him in life to be seizure free. It is hard to get a good nights sleep worring about him having seizures while I am sleeping.
