Eeg Report

Just received my son's eeg report. The follow up with the neuro is not for a while. I believe I understand most of it but there are 2 parts that I"m not sure what it means. Can anyone help?
This is his 2nd one in 2 1/2 months. First one showed "no active seizure discharges." This was after being on meds and seizure free 8 months. Then BAMB 4 within a month, that is why this 2nd EEG was done. The 2 parts that I'm not sure of are. "the presence of left frontotemporal spike-wave discharges, the slow component being fairly high amplitude." then it goes on to say ,"parxysmal discharges were seen"....
As a result of this EEG his Keppra was increased to 1000mg Am and 1500 mg PM
Any input from anyone more knowledgeable me would be appreciated.
