Hi-
I am new to this board and actually have never used on before, but have no idea where else to go. My brother has lived with seizures most of his life...doctors did not stated he suffered from epilepsy until he was 25 yrs old. He has a VNS...which I do not feel helps his seizures any...well it might help one out of every 5 seizures he has and he takes several medications as well. His seizures are very intense with slobering and he becomes very stiff to begin with, then he begins to start walking and looking for things...he is completly unaware that he is doing this and he does this for about 5-10 minutes after a seizure. Anyway...I am looking for any and all information on treatment and/or research. My parents are elderly and care for him, this is very stressful on them which causes stress for him as he feel bad for not being able to control his seizures and actions. Please help with any information or direction....as I am not sure what advice to give my parents.
