My reason for weaning is because I #1 want to get pregnant #2 feel like I'm walking around with my head in the clouds.
I'd love to hear your story!
Thanks!

Sorry I took so long to reply, but having an 11 month old baby girls make it hard. So far I bn seizure free for 5 yrs 2 moths since my surgery. No I dont use no supplements and my body was adjusting great by weannign off slowly. Im down to 2000/day and goign down to more this month. Like I said this process its not to be rushed, and dont add alcohol to the mix because you'll make it even harder for yourself trust me, I been there before the surgery. Wait until your completly off, and especially if your gettign your body ready to conceive,, that wont help you. Start taking folic acid NOW for a year before you get pregnant, and prenatals 6 months before you get pregnant as well. I did and my baby girl its the healthies ever and I breastfeed. Look at my other thread on keppra and pregnancy from last 2010. I di wish you allk the best of Luck, and follow Neuro intructions. Any others questions Ill be here.
Re: Weaning off Keppra to become Meds Free. Fingers crossed!
My previous dosage was only 1000 Mg/day. Then I had an "Aura" i think that was what it was. Now it's at 2000 Mg/day and I'm approaching the 2 yr anniv of when it was changed. I'm going to find out how risky it is to reduce dosage. Both and the only identified seizures I have had came within the same years of the surgeries that involved the brain. One was on no medication whatsoever and the other well it was only the aura type but I had been on the 1000 mg dosage. It's never pleasant to have one of these seizures, no matter how minor the seizure. It's messy and it's just not cool Isn't it wierd that the Keppra seems to work so well on some of us but scientists do not know the mechanism ?? We'll probably end up being very surprised at how little we know about our brains, if and when we ever discover more of it's secrets.
