could this be a seizure?
Our 32 month old son seems to temporarily lose strength/control on his right side. The episodes last about 10-15 seconds He seems disoriented and dizzy. This has happened 4 times in the last month that we know of. We took him to his pediatrician and she checked all of his reflexes, motor skills etc. and everything was perfect. She recommended monitoring him closely for now rather than a MRI because he would have to be sedated for that. That was 2 weeks ago and no episodes until today.

Hi wardcaro,
I understand you concern for you new baby. But in my opinion, it is way too early to jump to any conclusions. I pray to God it is just a little thing that will pass. Just wait and see and be positive. Your baby needs you to be positive. These little guys get all of these feelings you are feeling, believe it or not. At least that is my belief.

We had a 2 day EEG and MRI done a while back. The EEG came back and he had one seizure while ha was sleeping. The MRI came back unremarkable. The doctor has prescribed a anti-convulsant. He has had only 2 seizures since we began the medication, both times were when we were late giving him his morning dose. It seems he has already become dependent on the meds.
