| Question about Absence Seizures?
Is it possible to vomit from an absence seizure? Everything I've read makes it sound unlikely. But my daughter has epilepsy and was diagnosed a couple of years ago after a grand mal seizure. More recently she has absence seizures a lot.. and they don't usually cause vomiting. But the other night she had an absence seizure..it lasted a little longer then normal. But when she came out of it, she was confused.. wanted to get up and go shower. Then ended up vomiting. She vomited the one time.. then started to do better. Then ended up having another absence seizure. This time she didn't vomit.. she was just tired and a little peeked after... but she slept through the night and was fine to go to school the next day. I didn't know if this could be another type of seizure if that is uncommon? Or is it possible for this to happen? She has expressed that she feels a bit nauseous after one before. But everything I read says it's not likely. I'd just like to know if anyone else has experienced this?
