Simple Partial Seizures??
Until last night, I thought I was losing my mind! For the past six years now, Iíve had what Iíve always called ďepisodesĒ where I get the weirdest feeling in the entire world. The best way Iíve been able to explain it is I feel like everything around me is moving so fast itís in slow motion, my heart speeds up, and I am fully aware of what is going on around me.During these I can still move and respond, however I donít like talking or listening to people talk during them, because I it sounds/feels different. Iím usually more focused on trying to make the feeling go away, than talking to people. For the longest time I used to try and stop the episodes to no avail by listening to music or jumping in the shower. But it got to the point where when theyíd occur, Iíd sit on my floor and start crying, scared out of my mind until it went away. I remember having these episodes as a child, but they stopped before returning about six years ago. Now theyíll happen a few times a day, or a handful of times a week, or every few weeks. Not stopping for longer than two or three months at a time. Itíll last anywhere from 30 seconds to three minutes, and Iím always extremely tired and confused for a long while afterwards. Three years ago I started having migraines, in which Iíd have auras and pass out-but I never had the physical pain of a migraine. Iíd have auras, and then get really tired, and sometimes faint, I always just assumed I was having silent migraines.Thereís never really a rhyme or reason to when I get them, I can be busy talking or doing something and bam, or Iíll be lying in bed. Sometimes I get these episodes in the shower, and sometimes Iíll smell this horrible burnt egg-like smell, when thereís nothing there. I am almost 98 percent sure this is simple partial seizures in my temporal lobe. Does this sound like simple partial seizures? Or am I really just crazy? Haha.
