Unhappy Help

I had my first siezure about two weeks ago. I bit my tongue evidentally very hard. It did nt bite through it and it didnt bleed. I guess I was kinda clamped down on it for a while. It was numb for almost a week now its very bothersome tingly and like a burning stingy almost itchy feeling. I cant live this way. Im miserable w it. Is it gona heal or what?

Re: Help

Hi - sorry, it looks like you've posted this ages ago so hopefully your mouth will have healed by now! Unfortunately the whole sore tongue thing is just part and parcel of life with seizures. I know it's miserable. It sounds like you bit yourself pretty hard, because usually my sore tongue heals after a few days - the good thing is the mouth is one part of the body which heals quickly. I would advise you not to do what I did and use Bonjela (it's a gel used for mouth ulcers etc - don't know if you get it where you're from), when I did this I had a seizure pretty pronto afterwards. One way to induce quicker healing is exercise though. Hope this helps some.
