Based on your description, it sounds like she has had a tonic-clonic (grand-mal) seizure in her sleep. Those are some tell-tale signs, as well as aching muscles, among other things such as a severe headache, confusion and extreme fatigue up to 24 hrs following the seizure.
Someone should be sleeping with her to witness these seizures, keep a journal as well to document when they happen and what happens, write down everything.
It is also not safe for her to be sleeping alone. If her seizure last more than several mins. or she does not regain consciousness or she has one seizure after another, call 911 ASAP!
She needs to get a referral to a Neurologist asap.
