VNS Help

Has anyone actually been helped by a VNS? I have had mine since 2002. My seizures have progresses. It doesnt seem like the VNS is working. Maybe there is something I am not doing right but I have absense seizures and focal seizures daily. I am on medications as well as the VNS. Please help if you have a VNS that is working please tell me your story.

Thanks so much!
Michelle

Hi Michelle,

Sorry, I don't know of anyone that has a VNS and has had success. I do remember meeting someone at one of my epilepsy conferences and he had to have his removed as he had many problems caused by the VNS...I don't remember exactly what the problems were as it was several yrs. ago.

Hopefully, someone comes across this post with a success story!
You should talk to your Dr. about the increased seizures.
Have you had any luck with anti-seizure medications?

Take care.
