| EBV-EA test results. HELP please
I have some questions regarding my sister's test results. 20 years ago she had Epstein Barr. Just recently she has had extreme tiredness and thyroid problems. They did a thyroid ultrasound and found 3 nodules. CBC was normal. They also ran all the EBV tests. All were normal except the EBV-EA test. (normal range <120) and she was 140. Her Dr immediately said "you have cancer, you need chemo, your hair will fall out and you will lose your voice" I do not like the way this Dr has approached this matter and quite honestly don't believe her. What does a slightly elevated EBV-EA test really mean?
