I have all three at very elevated numbers.

Does anyone here know of an alternative drug that may help fight off these viruses. I heard a drug called whey may help, is this true? Is there anything I can do to reverse these viruses and get over this CFIDS/FM/chronic lyme crap. I am so tired of being tired.

hi i was diagnosed with EBV in 1991. had a terrible time for the first 10 years. relapse after relapse. would start with a sore throat then within days i couldn't move. no energy at all. months into it i ended up with shingles. had totake aciclivor(spelling?) it tore my stomach and my butt up,got a yeast infection. did this routine everytime i had a relapse for years. finally i changed dr.s and he put me on valtrec for a full year. no more shingles, no more cold sores no more relapses. it is an anti-viral drug used to treat herpes. now if i get a sore throat i take it easy a couple of days and it all passes. finally!!! after 10 years. i don't have your other health concerns though. my duahgter has lyme and took antibiotics off and on for 2 years. she still relapses occasssionly but very rare. good luck to you.

Hey Angel,
so do you think valtrex would also work on CMV and HHV-6. All of these are herpes viruses. All of these viruses are found with CFIDS and chronic lyme. You know if your daughter has lyme you could as well. If your Dr. cant explain why you keep having outbreaks of EBV the cause could be lyme. Have your HHV-6 and CMV levels been checked?

Do you think I should ask my Dr. about valtrex?
