Chronic Fatigue, Epstein Barr and Fatty Liver
After a year of feeling awful I have been dignosed with Chronic Fatigue Sydrome. It is presumed that it started due to me getting the Epstein Barr Virus last Spring (2006)
However, at the same time I have consistently failed liver function blood tests and had an Ultrasound on my liver. The specialist thinks it is Non-alcholic fatty liver disease and I am aware of an ache down that side of my body. I have only just read about liver ALT & AST in this forum. So I dont know which one is which but my doctor said one of them was 134 in January and 113 in March. My GP just put all these failures down to a "statistical anomaly" The specialist is presuming that this is a seperate problem to the Chronic Fatigue, but I am not convinced. My blood tests for all forms of Hepatitis etc are negative. Anyone got any thoughts?
(I am a generally healthy 29 year old male. Have not drunk all year, though used to drink moderateley. I also until last year used to be an endurance cyclist)
