I got mono when I was in college at 19 years old and 12 years later I honestly never felt the same since. I know it sounds crazy but I think all my medical "issues" started around the time I got mono. That is when I started getting heart palpitations, anxiety, stomach issues, acid reflux, sinus problems.. Is that just a coincidence? I was told that I will always have the Epstein Barr Virus in my system but can never get mono again, is that true?

Yes you always have it, so there is no need to worry about getting it again. It can relapse in some people, for various reasons. Some people also claim that their symptoms never cease and therefor they have "chronic" mono. Apparently most people get over the symptom stage within a few weeks to a few months, but so far I have not and I'm on month 3.

Yes you can get Mono again. My blood tests show that I have had it before, and I have it right now. It does recur in some people, unfortunately.
