EBV-Mono-Question.

Hi, I recently was diagnosed with EBV, with a Mono infection. I have been sick since November last year and just finally had somewhat definitive results last week.

I went and had more blood work done today because after reading all that is connected with EBV and seeing the symptoms I've had have lingered for more than the average time (about five months) I am very concerned. I am currently suffering with severe head pain, ear tension, occasional flare up of eczema on my knuckles, sometimes when it's severe it flares(from high stress or exercise) on my face. Also the typical chronic fatigue, with chills, (now stomach pain)- is lovely as well.

Are all these things connected to EBV or is there another underlying problem? I still have to wait for blood results, ct scans, lower gi series xray but any help/advice would be most appreciated.

Thanks!

PS
I have been altering my diet too since I heard foods high in arginine(?) are a problem as well as alcohol(verification needed). Been taking lots of vitamins-c,d,lysine, b12. Are there any other immune boosters or dietary changes/adds I can do to help me?

Thanks again,
Ebared

Re: EBV-Mono-Question.

I also had ebv, and continued feeling awful for months. It might be worth having your TSH (thyroid hormones) checked, most of your symptoms are similar to hypothyroidism. This is where I eventually led to and ebv, mono. Etc can trigger thyroid issues.
