Hot flashes

Is there a vitamin that will help with the nighttime hot flashes?

Re: Hot flashes

Chaste Tree Berry worked for me. NIH has reported some interesting studies on its effectiveness. I use it in liquid form and it to my morning smoothie.

Re: Hot flashes

As a Dietitian Nutritionist I recommend Vitamin D in combination with calcium to reduce/relieve night sweats and hot flashes. Bone density decreases following menopause and women are at greater risk of osteoporosis.
Vitamin E may not work for everyone. If it doesn't help with night sweats it can still help restore electrolytes you lose when you sweat. (Vitamin C in combination with Vitamin E can make the Vitamin E more effective).
B Vitamins, found abundantly in soy, can calm your hot flashes.
I recommend a healthy diet to get most of your nutrients and a multivitamin/mineral supplement if your diet is lacking certain nutrients.
