I have done 5-8 second reps, but never the 15 second reps in *super* slow HIT. It's a good way to add some size, but since there is a lot of focus on the eccentric movement, you generally need more than 1 day recovery. 2 or 3 at least. I used this method when cutting to maintain and even build a little mass while dropping the fat. Worked extremely well.
