Re: Baby food?

A guy at the gym told me years ago that he ate it. He'd mix it with cottage cheese. Not having a baby or having eaten it myself I can't say but I would imagine it's very nutritious but speaking as an adult I think there are plenty of other foods to get the proper nutrition from.

Re: Baby food?

yeah, Alot of people I know still eat it, it's not nessecarily an asset to bodybuilding, but alot of people eat it because baby food is very easy to digest, and usually one of those little $0.25 jars has a full serving of fruit or vegetables. cheap, easy, healthy and convenient. can't go wrong.

Re: Baby food?

Check the protein content. Whats the point? Whey may be slightly more expensive per serving (maybe not...) and has protein that active adults require. If post workout quick absorption is the plan, whey and sugar is much better for the job. Otherwise, might as well go with real food and get all the vitamins and minerals and fiber that the processing takes out. If your digestion is so poor that you have to live on baby food, you might need to check with a doctor. Your normal individual doesn't usually want it to be so quickly digested because it will act more like a sugar and wreak havoc with insulin levels. Eat it if you want to, but I don't see any benefit at all (and it tastes nasty...)

Re: Baby food?

Well, alot of the people I know that eat it don't necessarily have digestion problems, just physical stomoch problems ie ulcers, ph closer to 7 in stomach acid, from eating all that damn thai food every lunch hour heh heh. so it helps them with it. And I agree that if you have to live off it that you should go see a doctor, but I think he just meant it as something on the side, like eating an apple, not a daily regimen.
