Question MBT TRAINERS (Training Shoes?)

Just curious if anyone here had any experience with the MBT Trainers shoes (Swiss Masai, etc.)? I have read so much about their benefits lately that I am just curious about real experiences.

THanks for any input!

Re: MBT TRAINERS (Training Shoes?)

Strangely enough I've just ordered some. Well, three weeks ago that is. Still waiting for them!!!!
Are you in the US?
I'm in the UK.
I'll let you know when I get them....if I get them.

Re: MBT TRAINERS (Training Shoes?)

I am in the US. I have ordered some as well, mine are supposed to be here in 2-3 weeks, at last update. I ordered them for a different medical reason, but after reading up on them was curious about their training benefits as well. Sounds exciting if it works!

Please do keep me updated when you get yours. I will be very interested to hear other opinions. Thanks!!

Re: MBT TRAINERS (Training Shoes?)

I ordered them to improve my posture. I had a fusion operation of L1/T12 7 yrs ago due to a car accident and still suffer pain. Basically due to muscle spasms and bad posture when I'm tired.
What happened to you?
I swim now mainly since it's so low impact. Am also trying to lose those stubborn inches which is why I'm posting on this board.
If these shoes improve fitness too then...yipeeeeee.
If I don't get them next week then I shall have a sense of humour failure!!!!

Arrow Re: MBT TRAINERS (Training Shoes?)

Believe it or not, I had a surgeon recommend them to me for a problem varicose vein that I developed while pregnant, that has gotten worse over time. The design of the MBTs are supposed to increase circulation in your legs, which in turn will (hopefully) help my vein.

Let me know if/when you get yours!

Re: MBT TRAINERS (Training Shoes?)

Well, have finally got my MBT shoes.
Very good quality. I guess they all come from the same place so quality should be good throughout.
I felt extremely clumsy when I first started wearing them and quite self concious. You have to walk a particular way and that means no slouching.
It's wierd but I do feel so much better posture wise and actually after I got used to them I felt quite elegant. I normally lope along like an ape, so that's a change.!!!!
Your calf muscles come into use more since the heels slope away and I do feel like my legs are working more.
I am very pleased with them.
Twice Blessed, let me know how you find yours.

Thumbs up Re: MBT TRAINERS (Training Shoes?)

Thanks for the update! I am still waiting on mine (I hear this is a pretty normal thing - the waiting - huh?).

Will let you know what I have a chance to try them out!
