Unhappy Fat arms

Does anybody know any exercises that would help slim down my arms? I've lost about half an inch in the past few months on my upper arms (where the problem is), and now they're 12 inches. I'd really like to slim them down to about 10.5 or 11. Thanks for the replies in advance!

Re: Fat arms

you can't really slim down just your arms. if you are exercising and burning calories you will burn fat all over. you can do some weight training which would make your arms look more tone - tho that may not make your measurements decrease.

Re: Fat arms

True, you cant just spot reduce. You can lift with weights to burn off the fat overall and make your arms looked more "toned".

You will not get "bulked up" like the guys if you do resistance lifting but you will get more "toned" when doing this with a good clean diet. When I first started out lifting nearly 2 years ago, I had 16 inch upper arms with the fat stored there and lost nearly 3 inches since. They have become more "toned" looking and slenderer. My sagging "batwings" ( I was 245 when I started) have shrunk quite abit and are nearly gone.

Just keep eating 5-6 smaller meals through the day. Up your protein, lower the carbs and keep the healthy fats. Drink plenty of water and cut any sugar. Lift moderately heavy weights on a three day split (3-4 sets of 10 reps with a minute rest inbetween) with some cardio in between. This will help keep your metabolism up and burn the fat.

Re: Fat arms

Thanks for the responses! I actually knew that you can't "spot reduce" fat, but I'm just wondering about any specific exercises that I might be able to do, to help my arms look more toned, and help get rid of the flabbiness in the tricep area?? Thanks again!
