Re: best exercise for whole body?

That doesn't involve the "whole body". Just the legs. And it also depends on wht you mean by "best". Best for losing fat? Best for building endurance? Best for muscle? I'd think that maybe martial arts or boxing or rock climbing or something involving upper and lower body, strength and endurance would be a best overall for general fitness.

Re: best exercise for whole body?

I never lost any weight when I went swimming for like 3 hours a day and had a good diet.. I think swimming tones more then anything.

Re: best exercise for whole body?

if anything i'd say squats. obviously, its predominantly legs but you practically use your whole body and core strength to maintain proper form.

For overall. Squats and Bench press. These are the complex "Core" exercises that target all muscles in greater/lesser degree.

Re: best exercise for whole body?

Yes, squats and bench presses. Together you have the two basic "core" complex exercises for wholebody workouts.

Re: best exercise for whole body?

I'd have to disagree on the squats and bench presses. For a single overall excercise, I'd have to say clean and press. It's a core muscle, whole body strength workout. If I could choose 2 or 3, I'd say high pulls, military presses and tricep dips.

those are all exercises for working out.. i was just wanting to know aerobic exercise. I should have made myself clear :-D but anyways I think the best one now is dancing.. I know plently of people who get a full body work out from it and lost alot of weight.

Yes, almost all replies had nothing to do with your question. They failed to notice "besides 'working out'" part of your post.
As far as dancing, I would have to agree with you. It's a great exercise if it's an active type of dance like salsa (all Latin music), etc. and not only that, but it's also FUN!!!! I do love it a lot and I know that it burns tons of calories.
