"the pouch" removal

hello all....

I am asking this for my wife...

the mother of three and she is a little upset about her body and how it looks.

I recently started her on a diet, and doing strength trianing on M-W-F and Cardio T and Th. She would like to get a washboard stomach if possible, is it?

is there any advice you could give me to help her out? I am coaching her and doing the exercise with her for motivation, even our kids join in. lol

but any female advice or professional would be appreciated.

I think she looks great now, but she wants to get back to her pre-pregancy weight and body shape.

thanks.

Im not a female but my advice is she should also do aerobic excercise for 30 min to 60 min 4 - 5 times a week ( walking, jogging etc) anything that will raise her heart rate and get her breathing just a little bit harder for air. the best time is in the morning before having her first meal.

Re: "the pouch" removal

Hello!

Well, if I've learned anything from this board, it's to watch the diet. I am guessing that with 3 kids, your wife may not have the time to make sure she eats well, but every little bit helps.

I've never had kids, but I did have a poor shape last year. I started by focusing on cardio to lose fat for the first few months, with some weight lifting thrown in to start the definition. Now I've switched it, mainly doing all weights with some cardio to keep my weight in check. I decided I wanted a muscular appearance (something new for me!)

I found that doing more cardio first really showed results fast and that kept me motivated. I've gone from a size 10 to a 4 in 6 months - never thought that was possible!

I applaud her for trying to improve her health (the great body is a bonus!) and you for joining in for encouragement. Tell her to keep at it and she will be very happy with the results!!!

Have fun, Ami

Definitely diet (in addition to the workout). The other forum you posted this on has a lot of moms with good info and suggestions.
