Question wot shoes? to all joggers

ok i posted sumthin similar b4... if u go running/jogging on the roads ie, hard surfaces, wot kind of shoes do u wear?? I have a pair of New Balance Running shoes they cost about £65 in the shops but dont feel very cushioned and my calf muscles and ankles are hurting. SO i m gona get a new pair, i know Nike Shox are gud but EXPENSIVE.

Do i really need to get a better pair of shoes, i dont run on grass much so maybe i do cos the roads murder my ankles??? but i dont know so any advise wud be appreciated cos i dont want to injur myself again. thanku!

Re: wot shoes? to all joggers

New Balance are good shoes. Expensive shoes aren't ncessarily the best.
But I still don't think the shoes are the problem. You need to allow *time* for your body to become accustomed to running. It's like going into a gym for the first time and maxing out and then wondering why you are so painfully sore the next day. Just give it time and take it slow.

But that's just my $0.02. Maybe someone else has an answer you want to hear.
