I say lay off the wrists for a while. I got tendinitis in my back and I hated the fact I had to quit working out for nearly 3 weeks! It sucks yeah, but you can always go back to working out after your rest, only this time you'll be healthy. You can get back any gains you might have lost(which won't be much if you watch your diet.) I always overtrained and the results were injury, but I learned my lesson. It's not worth the risk of setting yourself up for a life time of pain. Like every experienced exerciser says, "ALWAYS LISTEN TO YOUR BODY!"
