| Re: Question about Jogging...
You have to take into consideration your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate). This is how many calories you burn by doing nothing at all - what your body needs just to stay alive. There are calculators out there that will help you to figure this out, but most people fall between 1300-2000, depending on size. So, if you eat only the amount of calories you need to live (maintenance) and still do some cardio, then you are burning more than your maintenance amount and the deficit will have to some from somewhere, and thats where fat loss occurs. If you eat fewer than maintenance calories and do some cardio, then you'll have even more of s deficit. But don't eat TOO little. If you have a deficit of more than 500 calories a day, you risk losing muscle which will actually slow your metabolism and hinder fat loss.
