I am training, both running and some weights. My diet is very clean (when on the wagon) , but I picked up some imitation crab meat today and wanted to know if it is ok to eat as a snack? My biggest concern is the sugar. Here is the nutritional info:
Honestly I would not put anything in my body that says imitation anything on it. You are trying to stay healthy obviously so why eat that? Why not tuna or salmon in the packets as a snack. Make sure your salmon is not farm raised as the wild salmon is better for you. Just my opinion..good luck, Lisa (phillygirl)
Well actually, imitation crab meat IS another type of fish called "pollock". It's just that it is cheaper than buying real crab meat and lasts longer when packaged. This is found in a lot of salads and such.
Again, my only concern was the 6g of sugar, which all in all probably isn't tha bigga deal when comparing to the many other things I COULD be eating! There is a fair amount of protein per serving as well. Just curious what you guys thought. -Chris
